In January and February last year, we filled out the Disciple Maker (DMI) Index survey. The purpose of
the survey was to gather data for the archdiocese which would then be assembled for the US bishops
and sent to the Vatican. The survey focused on Individual Spiritual growth and engagement with the
parish. What’s happened since then?
Fr. Andrew assembled a group of parishioners to review the parish survey data. After receiving access
to the survey, the survey group began meeting on a monthly basis. After extensive review and much
discussion, we came to some conclusions. We’ve now identified three priorities from our analysis that
will provide opportunities for the parish to improve our Individual Spiritual growth and involvement with
the parish:
1. a greater understanding of the Eucharist
2. Ongoing Faith formation for adults
3. Assessment of parish leadership ad practices.
We are currently formulating goals and activities for each priority. Next, we will ask parishioners to
participate in activities such as retreats, trainings, workshops and, yes, probably another survey. We ask
for your support as we begin this phase of our parish growth.
